Fruits Basket 121 in which there are spoilers, but no one minds.

Tooru and Akito have a heart to heart. Akito freaks out that Tooru just might understand her, but breaks and confides in her, however unwillingly. I think that the last part of this scene shows where the title came from because no one in the story up till this point has needed someone to call out "onigiri" as much as Akito. (No one actually calls out onigiri, the scene just SCREAMED the Fruits Basket game to me, which I'm sure was the point.)

After dual confessions of being sad and scared in a scary world and afraid of losing bonds, Tooru says, and I think I'll just translate:

Tooru: Then, Akito-san, from now on, won't you begin again with me? We are people who met by mistake (not sure how to put this 出会い方も 間違ってました (deai kata mo machigattemashita) idiomatically).
Tooru: Konnichi wa. I am Honda Tooru. What's your name? I want to become friends.

And Akito thinks that she's just saying those things, but Tooru gives her that mother-like, brutally honest smile and holds her hand out to her which Akito, moved, begins to take...

AND THEN THE GROUND GIVES WAY AND TOORU FALLS OFF A CLIFF!

I am so not kidding. WHAT THE CRACK?!
