[Dream sequence, so unhackable unless you can READ MINDS. Which I'm not ruling out.]

The robobeast towered over New York as the helpless citizens flee for their lives. Who can possibly save the city in this hour of darkness ( Read more... )

*Due to discussing with a few mechanics about potential customizing of her still MIA Esperansa, Ennil's able to bear witness to the new machine. Curiosity naturally gets the better of her since it doens't look that much different from a normal Arm Slave*

You can't seriously be that dumbstruck just because of it has a different paint job, can you?

No it's not that, I just had a wierd dream that...

Nevermind.

[She's flipping through the documentation that she just got.]

This isn't just a paint job, though. Apparently this thing has a lambda driver on it.

I've heard quite a bit about the things those Drivers can do. I take it you'll know how to handle one?

I don't have the first idea how to use one of these things. Sousuke is MITHRIL's lambda driver expert, not me. Apparently they're whipping something even more impressive for him though, it's just not done yet.

... Wait...

Then why did they give you it in the first place? Did someone in the upper echelons of MITHRIL just decide to be generous?

There's talk of a long term plan to eventually equip every arm slave MITHRIL has with a Lambda Driver. Sousuke was chosen for the first one because they felt he would be the best candidate for it. I was chosen to see if someone who's actively kind of a bad candidate for one can make it work.

Well when you put it that way...

I choose to believe it's because they think I'm an inherently cool headed person: good under pressure, but unsuited to shouting attack names.
