Listen. I realise this must be difficult for you, especially as your father is caught in the middle between you and Lindorie. But if you're feeling it get to you, there are other people to turn to. You could have come to me, or your Daer-ada.
And I know Caranthire is very blunt, but she was probably trying to help in her own way.
I'd much rather you bothered me than took some drug that you (a)don't have a prescription for (b)don't know exactly what it will do and (c)didn't even bother to check how much you'd taken. :|
She was trying to get you get rid of what you'd taken. A pinched nose is nothing compared to what could have happened.
Rabê
Elros...what does that mean? And why the antagonism between you and Caranthire, what happened?
She didn't have to yell at me or manhandle me to get dugs out of my pockets. *shows you the places on his arm where you can clearly see a set of fingernail imprints on the skin*
I already was in a bad mood and she started lecturing me and named the "adopted brother"-thing *SCOWL* which I didn't like at all then she cam over as threatening to me so I just defended myself, she kept up the subject so I tuned her out, she beame irritated, thus me more hostile and in the end she went to sleep and I ran outside and stayed in a tree all night long where no one would find me.
First of all, Caranthire has a very strident tone of voice. Everything sounds like a lecture coming from her, when it might not necessarily be intended as one. Secondly, there's every chance she didn't realise how sensitive you are about that, so I'm sure she didn't say that to deliberately upset you.
And Elros, I'm sorry, but when you're talking to someone, for them to go, "lalala, not listening," is not only very rude, but it's extremely irritating.
What exactly was Caranthire saying in her 'lecture'?
She told me that you yelled at her and acted as though you cared more about wallowing in your own misery than about the hurt you might cause your Ada. Is that true?
Look, think on this, I'm not pressuring you to act on it, I'm not pushing you, I'm just asking you to take it on board. The situation with Lindorie; try to see this from your Ada's perspective. His daughter, is unwittingly causing his son pain. Imagine how that must feel for him. If it seems like he's pusing you, that's only becuse he's desperate to see you happy and doesn't want to be torn between the two of you.
If you were to try to spend time with Lindorie, at least that would show Maglor that you're willing to face this thing, rather than evade it and leave him in this no-man's land between you both. He loves you both, he wants to be with you both, you wants you both happy.
You'll probably have a couple days before your Ada gets back, so you have some time to think it through.
*plops down on a couch and awaits his doom*
