Ants! ;_;

Over the last few days, Dan and I have been finding small ants in the apartment... we're pretty sure that they're Pharaoh ants. We first started seeing one or two crawling on our new wooden cutting board. The first one we saw we just thought it was a fluke or something but after the second and third time, Dan threw out the board. Then one morning

My best friend had this exact same problem with an apartment she lived in a few years ago, except the ants were getting in through small cracks in the windows and window sills. These were massive ants, too. She would complain to the landlord and the landlord would come and set traps before finally sending an exterminator. The ants would stay away for a couple weeks and then come right on back. This happened multiple times. :\ I'm not sure what means they used to exterminate the ants, but I don't think it worked very well.

I'm sure it's possible the ants came with the couch, much in the same fashion as bed bugs, but I can't say for a fact. But I hope you're able to get rid of them! That would totally freak me out, too.

I'm not really sure where these ants are coming from... they're microscopic, super tiny, and we've been seeing them in the bathroom now (which is quite a bit away from the kitchen and sofa). It's possible they did just come in through the window, we have a balcony... even if we're on the 9th floor, I guess it's possible that ants could crawl their way up here.

Bed bugs never come with brand new furniture. You typically only pick them up when the furniture has been somewhere that's infested since bed bugs require a constant supply of food from humans. Something like a warehouse is unlikely to have an infestation like that. :X I'm thinking now that they probably just crawled in from another apartment. The ant traps actually seem to be doing their job, but I want to make sure we tell the landlord regardless. :X

I KNOW, it's been forever!!! :D I don't really post in my LJ anymore, but I lurk around here often. It's awesome that you're posting again and working on your websites! I get the urge every once in awhile but then I end up stopping in the middle of production... ._. oops.... But seriously, it's awesome that you're back! :D

Yay, thanks! :D It honestly feels so amazing to be working on my sites again. I'm completely inspired and I feel really productive, it's been great for me. *_*

You should totally get back into it! XD I don't know if I have your AIM anymore but next time you get into the process, you should totally babble about it to me. I found that talking to other people who're into it was the most motivational thing. XDDD

We should catch up sometime too. :D It's been what? Like 5 or 7 years or something??
