Screw shoes!
I went to a wedding last weekend out of town and a friend of ours posted some photos that had me in it. One of them showed that I was wearing flip flops at the reception (or rather, the waiting around part for the reception to start).
Some bint commented on the photo with "Is that girl wearing flip flops to a WEDDING? OMG..."
Uh, yeah. And what of it? I wore high heels for the actual wedding ceremony and those shoes hurt my feet so I switched over to something more comfortable. You know, god forbid that I actually am able to walk around without feeling like my feet are crippled. :P One other chick at our table for the dinner was also wearing flip flops and by the end of the night, most other people were too. GASP. SHOCK, HORROR. OH NOES.
Seriously, I'm highly opinionated on this sort of thing. It's absolute bullshit that women are expected to wear these narrow little things that crush their feet. Your feet are really important and I absolutely refuse to wear those shitty fucking shoes. The only thing that depresses me more is that there's people out there who go absolutely apeshit if someone's not going with the flow. Exactly how brainwashed are you? :P
