One Piece: Season One, First Voyage Review

Ok, so I just finished watching all of One Piece: Season One, First Voyage. I watched the entire thirteen episodes dubbed and I'm actually really surprised at how good it was! All the voices seem to fit the characters really well and it sounds like the voice actors actually know how to act. :P Even the extras were done really well ( Read more... )

The price model seems to be... uh... I really don't know. I find it an interesting way of selling especially long series, since Viz is doing the same with Naruto, but cheaper than Viz's price point.

It's sitting at $38 right now with Amazon, which is just under $3 an episode.

The Viz sets are closer to $4 an episode. To compare to some singles I bought, I got my Haruhi discs at about $25 each, making that about $6 or, in the case of the last few discs, $8 an episode.

Of course, when you get into the costs of domestic TV shows per an episode, that's when you start crying. Except for MST3K. So much money.
