Okay, SO. Watched the first three episodes of Claymore. I was pretty intreagued by the whole half-human, half-yoma female warrior idea so I decided to download the first episode to check it out. Liked it, downloaded the next few.
It's pretty darn good as far as things have gone. The main character, Claire, is a Claymore who takes Raki under her wing after killing the yoma who slaughtered his family. Raki, for some reason, is one of the only people who seem to see Claire as being a good-hearted individual, where everyone else in the world seems to view her and her kind as being terrible witches. They sort of avoid Claymores like the plague, and only call on them when they need a yoma to be killed.
Anyway, Claire is pretty serious... she almost comes off as having no personality what-so-ever, but because of Raki, we get to see the more human side of her. Clearly, Claymores must cast aside their human emotions and sort of focus everything on keeping their demonic side at bay. But it's really cool to see Claire and Raki interact together. It's such an unlikely duo, especially since Raki's such a puss, but it really works. :D
I'm dying to see who the other Claymores are that are featured in the opening and ending sequences. I've seen graphic novels of the manga in stores of the wavy-haired Claymore featured in the ending sequence along with Claire. I'm hoping that whoever it is, it's revealed sooner rather than later. :9 I'll be sure to post again when I see more!
