TV come home! ;_;

So, I get a phone call about an hour ago, asking me if there will be anyone available at my apartment tomorrow between 9am and 2pm to accept a delivery for an online order. Online order! Why, that's my TV! Unfortunately, I wouldn't be home then so I asked if it was possible to have it delivered on the weekend. The fellow said it was, but there would unfortunately be a $20 charge and I'd have to phone Purolator's toll free number to set it up. No problem!

So, I phone Purolator and get shafted around. I finally get to a point in the horrid automated system where I can select "0" for entering a package number that contains letters and numbers. Through this process, some of the menu was so quiet I had to turn my phone way up to hear it... and then right after, the next menu would be so loud that it practically made my ear bleed through my ass. :| And then after waiting a minute, I hear "Thank you for chosing Purolator. Good bye!" The damn fucker hung up on me! o_O

So I phoned again, spoke to a human (I use the term losely; talk about inept), who said the package is at 800 Kipling and I can just go on my merry fucking way to pick it up myself. I paid how much for shipping and this is what I get? I look it up on Google Maps to see how far away it is and this is what I get:

Is.... Is that my TV? In the middle of a field??? o_Ó; LOL

Seriously though, I ended up having to phone home to get the confirmation e-mails, then phone FutureShop, which told me to phone Purolator to see where exactly I could pick this fucker up. Nevermind the fact that I have to find someone who will be willing to drive there and pick it up for me. I guess it looks like I have to bribe John again. :| Eeep! This sucks! I want my damn TV! X(

EDIT: I managed to get through to Purolator again, this time to a CS agent who actually knew what the fuck she was talking about. ;P I explained the whole story. She told me that they do have Saturday service, but because the shipment had already been sent out, there was no way for them to change the waybill. So that's why I have to pick it up. That actually makes sense. :P Would have been nice if the first shithead told me that in the first place.

AND, 800 Kipling is actually a huge Purolator depot, which explains why there's a big field next to the road. XD LOL. Fortunately, they're open for pick-up from 8am to 10pm on Monday through Friday, and from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays. Now I'm just going to have to see about phoning Futureshop and getting them to refund the shipping fee they charged my mom (or at least explain themselves well). She didn't pay $70 to have me go pick it up myself. ;P

wtf, tv
