I've been really thinking, lately, that it'd be nice to read translations of the Slayers Drama CDs. The only translations I can find are the two short episodes at Tokitama Shan Chi. I'm kind of surprised that they haven't been translated at all yet, especially since the mp3s are available online. '_'

In any case, I decided to e-mail FUNimation and ask the FUNHack guy if they've considered using the Drama CDs as extra features for their DVD releases. I know they have yet to release the retouched Slayers DVD sets so there's probably still plenty of time to include extras like that. Bandai has already done it with the Planetes DVDs, apparently, so hopefully FUNimation will actually consider it. After all, novels took off very well so maybe Drama CDs will be the next big thing over here.

This is what I wrote to them: "Hi! I'm just wondering if the team at FUNimation has considered adding Drama CDs for series like Slayers and YuYu Hakusho as extra features on DVD releases. Drama CDs are really popular in Japan and I know a lot of fans such as myself would love to get the opportunity to listen to them since they haven't yet made their way to our market. Bandai has already done this with their Planetes DVD releases, by letting the audio stream while having subtitles appear on the screen. Novels have already proven to be fairly popular, so maybe Drama CDs could be the next new thing? I certainly would look forward to it, if it is! ^_^"
