Wow... I noticed they took down my fanfic website, which is fine, so I dropped by here and am surprised this thing is still up.  I don't suppose anybody uses LJ anymore anyway.  For anybody still around, and for Helliongoddess who sends me snailmail now and then, I am fine, I just bought a house, and I have work in a couple of hours.  Luffs for

I'm still here - hell, it could take me the rest of my life to read all the backlog of great fics that were posted before I got here in (I think it was?) 2007, since the fandoms i still love best were all around prior to that. You wouldn't KNOW I was still here, given I haven't posted since May of last year, but I've just begun to realize how badly I've been isolating myself and what it's doing to me, and I am resolved to be more active on here, Dreamwidth, and AO3- maybe, MAYBE, if I can summon up the gumption, even start writing again. (I actually have a Facebook acct, but I still really hate it....and tumblr, who I believe has, sadly, siphoned a lot of folks away from here, well, just no fucking way. Bleccch.) This is still really the only online place I've ever really made quality friends and had a lot of fun and interesting times. So I'll give it a go again here, and if there's just no love left, I guess I'll sadly have to go elsewhere, but I'll hate to - this has been my online "home" for so long.

Speaking of homes, yay for you!!!!!!!! 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 I am so happy for you that you bought a place of your own - it's a big step, but so so so worth it, and so much fun! And you couldn't have picked a better time to do it. I keep telling my slug of a spouse we need to hurry up and refi NOW - I still had bad credit from when I got sick and lost my job (& years of other crap as a single mom, too) when we bought this place in 2009. Yes, we decided to buy RIGHT when the market tanked. Getting a mortgage was pure unmitigated hell - the first one that finally approved us was one of the first enormous monster places that failed - the day after our approval! So natch the rate we ended up with (5 something) is much higher than we could get with a refi now, especially since I now have "excellent" credit, if Credit Karma tells it true. Anyway, I do wish you'd send me an email or snail mail with pics and details about your place. I'll have to start keeping my eye peeled for some kind of suitable, mailable housewarming gift. Any special requests?
