crud update and pondering weather and KU *ETA

it was very nice to have thebcman home early sat. had lunch together, he felt special that he got to see the whole basketball game that afternoon. fixed a roast for supper and i think we all crashed around 9ish.

i was very diligent taking acetaminophen for my ear pain. not only can i not hear out of that ear, but there is a dull roar . it continued to make small popping noises all day but never The Big One. i got a wet washcloth to rub my eyes with. being all red, dry and gritty feeling, i figured rubbing them with my fingers wasn't such a good idea. but the cool cloth did make them feel a lot better.

sun. morning i was surprised by a call from thebcman about 10 asking me if i had had breakfast yet-i said no, when would he get home. his reply was that he was home, at sonic did i want anything? sure!* the giant vent that removes all the heat, smoke and grease broke. they had to close the store or the fire system would have gone off from all the heat.*

i felt much sunday. my eyes weren't red and dry. my ear was and is still all fucked up. managed to get the kitchen clean most of my laundry done and with thebcman home, i let him watch some football then he vacuumed the whole house-a much needed vacuum.
was creative for supper-had 2 pyle's sausages left. cut them up, sprayed a pie plate and put the sausages in. beat some eggs, added milk and some canned tomato with chili. we had 3 corn tortilla's left so those went on top. covered with cheese and bake. yum :-)

about to wrap up His Dark Materials trilogy. i'm not going to try to see The Golden Compass, i'll wait until it comes out on dvd for convenience issues. i though GC was a little slow getting started, but it picks up by the end of the book. the last two are a lot more fast paced. i'm about half way through The Amber Spyglass so I'll soon know if Lyra manages to accomplish what she needs to without knowing. at least these books the quest isn't spell out like LOTR-go destroy The Ring.

weather predictions say ice storm starting this evening through tomorrow evening. joy. i'm willing to bet that we get tons of ice and KU doesn't close. granted it is finals week, but i told m that if the weather is as bad as they are predicting, i won't be here tomorrow. no intention of risking my life to get here, or the urthling's to get her to me for nursing at lunch. my dad got to deal with it in Tulsa-he went to Robin's funeral in NC and flew back into Tulsa. i assume he made it home okay.

the office is quiet, campus looks quiet-finals are here and soon the students will slowly leave for home for the holidays.
