about my pets
for whom i am mostly thankful for-i'm not thankful when watson eats the cat shit out of the cat box and i'm not thankful for when he left us TWO messes in TWO different rooms over a week ago, and the cat....well, she's okay, i'm just not a cat person. after that cat quiz a while back, b kept saying "you need sensitivity classes" every time i kicked the cat out of my chair or wouldn't let her lay on top of me.
so here is some info about my pets

and this is Watson also known has Fart Dog! he was a pound puppy. about '95 or '96 i went the the lawrence humane society (they always depress me, i wish i could adopt all the pets there!) and was looking for a dog. i saw him sitting way back in the kennel and he came up to the gate and wagged his tail, looked at me with those dark eyes and i went home and told b. i wanted him to come look at this dog. the best advice my vet ever gave me concerning him was to take him to obedience school. there i was trained as much as i trained watson. the best $90 (3 different classes) i ever spent on him. when we lived on barker ave., the kids across the street loved him. he would be out on his chain and i could hear them say "watson! sit!" or "watson! lay down!" and he would which delighted the kids. when we moved, we had a fence put up and now he is the proud owner of a double lot yard. when we come back from a walk he always has to go back outside to make sure his yard is there.

this is maxine, Queen of the Universe, bitch kitty, kittypeesonfloor, stuckuppigkitty...oh and we sometimes call her fuzzy butt. the pic caught her blinking....our old dog, sherlock (see a trend here?) found her waaaay back when we lived on kentucky st. i got home from work one night to see b. sitting on the back steps holding this scrawny kitten in his arms. she was in the basement and sherlock was freaking out until b. went to see what the matter was. she had a big puss and nasty wound on her heal. the next day, i brought her in, put hydrogen peroxide on the wound and drained it, got a cat box and she was ours. we used to have "wild kingdom in the living room" as dog chased cat and cat chased dog.....it was very amusing. when sherlock died, she cried for him for several days. and when we got watson she was sooo pissed off at us!!! wouldn't come into the bedroom for about 4-5 months to punish us. she is a very old cat. i think we got her in '89?
