Thanks everyone for the good moving wishes...
We're in the new house, but some of our stuff is still in the old place, including the connecty cord for the bedroom television - grrrrr....
Tigerlily is coping quite well. We shut her in Bek's room but she yowled to be let out so that she could explore the rest of the place. Either that, or she just wanted to be with her people. Probably both, come to think of it. We haven't let her outside yet, not sure if we are going to - there's a big samoyed next door and a big yellow dog over the back. She's not familiar with large canine neighbours and I don't want her to find out about them the wrong way (or the terminal way - erk). The sedative we gave her for the car trip worked a treat, the lack of freak-out meant one chilled out little catty and one relieved catty lover to boot.
Sapphi is having trouble adjusting to being a "sleeping outside sort of dog" - she has a nice big patio area, but she whines a little at night. To be expected, I guess. Kris let her in straight away at the first sign of whimpering last night and I had to be the baddie and hoik her outside again. I can just imagine what the "it's me or the dog" lady would have to say about that! But if I have to not give in to the cat when she cries at the bedroom door, it's only fair that we do the same thing with the dog.
So now I'm all achey and sore. Oh, and we won't have internet at the new place until Friday, so I won't be online much between now and then. Had to come in to work today to man a booth at a trade show type thing (who'da thunk a librarian would have to do such a thing?) so that's why I'm here (there's not much to do while the attendees are in their sessions so I took the opportunity to update y'all).
Okley dokley, time to sign off for now.
xoxo
