[PSA] Fake PayPal e-mail - phishing alert!!!

Jul 09, 2007 09:36

I've been seeing an increasing number of these lately, and I figured if I'm getting them, then others might be, as well. Consider this a friendly reminder to always be wary of e-mail purporting to be from a legitimate source, but that wants you to log in and update your account information "or else!" I've included the text of one of the most recent offenders below the cut.

To report stuff like this, forward the e-mail to spoof@paypal.com, and then DELETE IT, ferchrissakes! Don't click the link to see what the site is, and for the love of Isis, don't enter your account information! Thank you, and have a nice day.
