A small bit of good news
So, like an idiot, I waited until April 14th to file my taxes. I usually always do it first thing, as soon as I have all my papers in order. This year, well, this year I didn't. So I've been anxiously checking the Where's my refund? site at the IRS to see when I could hope to get my refund check. The data didn't show up until last week, and it said June 6th was the estimated date of when I'd get my refund. Still a month away, and still wouldn't keep me from payday loan hell until then, but it was better than nothing. Yesterday, I got a wild hair and decided to check the site again. Lo and behold, it had been updated, and said my refund should be direct deposited into my account on May 12th! I still had to get a small payday loan earlier this week in order to pay for groceries, but relief is in sight! *does the Snoopy dance of joy*
