Out of the blue, as if in a psychic move, Lady Ursus called. Well, not psychic; she read my LJ and saw how lonely I was. We yerfed for some time, and I asked if she'd like a guest for the afternoon. She said "sure," and I went over. I accompanied her to her doctor's appointment, as we caught up on old times. Then we had fun at Denny's, and got stuffed with foodie nummies. We decided it would be fun to watch a movie at my place, and so after some discussion we decided on "The Green Mile." It sure sounds great in Dolby 5.1, especially all the parts with the thunder. Lady Ursus spent the night as opposed to driving back home, because the movie didn't end until about 1am. We had jacuzzied furst, and that took up more than an hour. I had just bought some frozen shrimp and pasta dinners, so we made those for a snack when we got hungry again. She can't stay today, as she has appointments. And I have some errands I need to run anyway. But we planned to take the tour of the Jelly Belly jellybean factory Saturday, and have movie night at her place afterward. We haven't decided on the movies yet, but with my collection that shouldn't be a problem.
Sometime next week we'll go antiqueing at the Folsom antique street. Might not buy anything, but it's always fun to look.
I'm glad Lady Ursus and I agreed to be just friends. We are both comfortable being "hang-around buddies" without anything more serious (remember, I'm gay) who share the same interests. And I can still pursue my love interests (should I be lucky enough to have any in the future). And significantly, so can she.
In other news, progress on my electronics workbench is moving along smoothly. I am still transferring parts to the parts bins, making labels with that damned Dymo label maker that kills my paw after a while. But as soon as that's done, I will remove all the test equipment I bought from its boxes and put it on the bench. At that point it will be ready to go. And that will pretty much mark the finish of all the indoor re-organization projects. That will leave the most difficult one: the garage...
