All our lives we learn to see our sins, to pay attention to ourselves, and not to the mistakes of other people: this is what makes a person grumpy.

Don't seek and don't expect pity or praise from people.
We constantly want to hear from others: "How wonderful you look" or: "God, how hard it is for you." Let's try to behave in such a way as to avoid words of pity and praise from other people.

Don't compare yourself to another person.
At the Last Judgment we will not be presented with a chart with comparative spiritual indicators of different people. God does not compare us with each other. Each of us stands before God based on

It's hard to be a fatter troll than you are, granny! However, your vocabulary is reminiscent of Ellochka the Cannibal's vocabulary; "Я побила его, как ребенка!"
See you and your "priest now' at the church court, demon-possessed granny! 😁
What was your wife a trained artist doing in art therapy group? Why did she come there? To show off her skills and put down people who came just to have fun? Is there any other way she can feel good about herself without putting down people and their innocent crafts? I can picture her walking around and sneering among folks who just came there to spend couple hours and could be way better then her in so many ways : for example biking running programming locksmithing. Or compassion tact and politeness. By the way which art gallery exhibits your wife’s work (if any). Would love to judge her work on my own
Who said 'art therapy'? Who said 'sneering'? My wife was perfectly within the rules which said it was open to all comers - if she was going against the rules or the spirit, why did the organizers not ask her to leave? Once someone exhibits work publicly, it seems to me he or she opens themselves to judgment. And in art it is important to dissociate quality of product and the human quality of the copier. The copier may be decent and honest, while the result is, by the usual canons of art, shit, something that no one would pay to have on their wall. And the copier is perfectly entitled to "have fun", but should in this case not expect anyone to pat him on the back for what he has produced, or seek recognition as an 'artist'..

Priest Bear, are you aware of the Christian Orthodox rules of life?
If you don't read Russian, then these rules by Thomas Khotko are written in English.
Protopresbyter Thomas Khotko (1939-2015) served as a priest of the Orthodox Church in America for over half a century.
He was considered one of the best Orthodox preachers in the United States.
