Why Not!
Well, up till now it’s been a good day. I stayed up late last night chatting with a dear friend I haven’t chatted with in a long time. Then I slept in. Then I woke up chatted with the same friend from last night and another, then took a nap. It was delightful. Then I woke up, and decided to finish cleaning up my kitchen, a task I had been putting off. I finally got that cabinet cleaned off, and felt good about it. I’ve got a marinade melding, and a steak thawing, so what could go wrong?
Well, naturally because it’s my day of the second shift cashier gets sick. And naturally I haven’t been able to get a hold of anyone else to cover the shift. And of course the AM who is covering the store for me won’t pull the shift, because she feels she shouldn’t have to work to 1am then come back in at 5am. Well frankly so do I, but that has never stopped me. Do I sound bitter? Well, I am, I am getting so sick of never being able to have a real day off. If it isn’t one thing it’s another. Now I can’t blame a cashier for getting sick, but why does this ALWAYS seem to happen when I have plans. Well, all hope is not lost, I am still looking. Maybe I will get lucky.
