Daily Update
So today I didn't get as much done as I'd like. I got the basic map for adventure 4 part 3 done. Tomorrow I'll start assigning challenge ratings to the hexes. Being a little more judicious in how I assign them. I also started (and almost finished) the wiki entry for the nation of Hirschtal. In addition when I started it I also did "space-filler" entries for the capital Thetil and the ruler Wynnstan Scheuer. That way I could do all the cross references at one time. Hirschtal is the next to the last of the "civilized" mangen nations in the northern Frontier Lands. One more and I'll be working on the nations of the "barbarian" manneskor nations. Still plenty of mangen nations to the south however, along with a couple of elven nations and three mangen city-states. Also got a few dwarves kingdoms in the Tågbaf Mountains as well.
Hirschtal gave me a few headaches despite being one of the few nations where my notes included more than the name, capital name, rulers name class and level, and population breakdown. In fact one of the headaches was that the ruler was listed as a 14th level barbarian despite having a mangen style name. Manneskor people, from which most barbarians come have different style first names, and the surname is the fathers name suffixed with sønn or datter for a male or female respectively. Were he born to a manneskor people his name would have been something like Valdimãrr Sindrisønn. So I decided that at a young age he was orphaned and raised by the Fjernhjem people, a manneskor nation. This also explains why he's the only ruler trying to establish peace with the manneskor.
Actually once that particular inconsistency was explained away, description moved pretty fast. Things just logically flowed from one category to the next. It helped that some of the background was established when I detailed Onzethcalet. In particular their dispute regarding land. For me world building is fun.
Sadly, since I didn't finish detailing Hirschtal I never got to working on the Complete Net Guide to Unlawful Carnal Knowledge. Perhaps tomorrow since I'll definitely be up before noon. Gotta go shopping. Need stuff for lunch and dinner for the next few days. Not sure if I'm gonna go to Walmart or United. May end up hitting both depending on circumstances.
