Had another nightmare of sorts. This time whatever it is that lurks in the darkness was around the foot of our bed. Funny thing, my phone wouldn't light up, completely dead, even though I knew I had plugged it in before I went to sleep. Funnier, is I never thought to try to turn on my bedside lamp. Regardless, it's like there was a patch of darkness near the foot of the bed, and "something", I don't know what, was in it. I couldn't see anything, but I felt a tangible source of fear emanating from the darkness. This time however was different. Maybe because I needed to protect Cha, or maybe I just remembered the need to face one's fears. Perhaps a combination of both, whatever the reason, I attacked. I charged the darkness, with a yell.
I never found out what was in the darkness. It was me yelling in my sleep that propted Cha to wake me up. Took her a few tries to wake me uo completely. Once awake I was still shaken for a bit, but not as shaken as I normally am after those type of dreams.
In other news, I played Pathfinder tonight. Well last night, as it's currently 4 am Wednesday morning. It was fun, as always. My magus gained a level, which allows me to cast 2nd level spells. I can now cast
blur (20% miss chance) and
cat's grace (+4 to dexterity). The former is good, but the latter is what I've been looking forward to. +4 Dex means +2 to my AC, and best of all, since my magus has
Weapon Finesse, +2 to any qualified attacks, and all my attacks are qualified, including my spell attacks. When combined with
Arcane Accuracy And my ability to enchant weapons via using his
Arcane Pool, and by casting
Magic Weapon, my total attack bonus can go up to +15. That's a hefty bonus since a 4th level magus's base attack bonus is only +3. Can't wait for the next "boss" fight.
Better get back to sleep.
