A Long Days Night and Day
Today was a long day. Largely because it started at 10am yesterday. Cha's flight was scheduled to leave at 10:30 this morning. Our original plan was to drive to Dallas on Sunday and spend the night at a hotel. We changed those plans due to financial issues. The new plan was to go to bed early Sunday night get up around midnight and leave for Dallas around 1am. Unfortunately with one thing or another "early" turned out to be 10pm. We did try to get a little sleep, I don't know about Cha, but I gave up trying to sleep around 11:30.
We did leave about 1 as planned. The trip itself went well until the last stretch. An "incident" had traffic backed up and what should have taken less than 10 minutes took over an hour. We finally got to the terminal between 8 and 8:30. I stayed just long enough to drop Cha off then I started back. I made 3 stops on the way back. The first was a gas station shortly after I got back to the interstate just to use the batroom and get myself situated for the return trip.
The second stop was a rest area a little ways west of Fort Worth. I had received several texts and wanted to make sure Cha was okay. She was, but she did call me as I was about to leave the rest area forcing me to stop again. The third and final stop was in Sweetwater just before I get off the interstate for the final stretch to Lubbock. The third stop was another bathroom break, and to get gas.
I finally got back to the apartment about 1:30 a little more than twelve hours after we left. I made some sandwiches watched a little tv made some phone calls to get Cha's phone for Spain turned on. I then laid down to take a nap. I planned to only sleep for about two hours but ended up sleeping for about three and a half hours. I got up watched a little tv, ate a bit more than worked on my star system generator. I got the moon generator mostly done. It should be done, but for some reason the macros aren't working. They worked once, but only once, and I was too tired to fuss with it trying to figure out the problem. Instead I took a shower and now I'm watching the 11th (and maybe 12th) episode of Iron Fist.
I really don't want to go to work tomorrow.
