Today we went to the
MN Zoo, they have some of it indoors for those not familiar with the wonders of the MN Zoo. At the end of our trip, as usual, we take walk through the gift shop to see if there is any thing on sale that catches our fancy. I always like to patron the gift shop because we get a discount as members and some of the proceeds go to helping the animals at the zoo. We also have a set 'just one' limit that helps keep us from going over board.
This time they had a great deal on two stuffed animals for $20. Only, my little boy didn't want a stuffed animal, he wanted an actual toy! So he picked up the 'wild republic ocean dive' set with all sorts of cool stuff! A dolphin, two different whales, a shark, turtle, etc. As we were checking out the sales people tried to pitch me their plush animal on sale and offered them to Jimmy. My boy grabbed them both from the sales person and put them back into the big, grabbed his box of ocean animals and held that up. The kid knows what he likes! I said, "sorry, he's a tough sell these days."
It was amusing and yet sad to know that he's ready to leave behind stuffed animals and move into the big boy toys. I know I am lucky to have a second shot at snugly baby, but I'm also certain that baby#2 will probably be in even more of a hurry to grow up because he'll want to be like his big brother.
What's a mama to do!?
