I just went shopping on Amazon and bought two books when I only set out to check the price of one.
They're by John Green though (of vlogbrothers fame) so it's all good!
I was really annoyed when I went into Borders to try and buy one of them though... I had checked on the website yesterday to try and buy it with a gift voucher I got for my birthday, and subsequently discovered that they don't let you use gift vouchers online. SO, when I went into Borders today, I was expecting, if not to find it on the shelves, but to at least be able to order it in or something. But, no, according to their database, the book does not exist! The girl on the till then checked on Amazon (I think to make sure I wasn't a crazy person who was making it up) and lo and behold, there it was.
I ended up paying around what I would have for just the one book in a shop though, when I ordered it off Amazon, so along with free delivery, I suppose it turned out ok. Although I did have to pay with my own money, instead of the present but what can you do, eh?
In other news, my sensible pair of Clarks shoes that cost me 55 bloody quid BROKE TODAY. I was not impressed.
So yeah, today has been a day of frustration and perturbment.
Although Mario Galaxy is amazing and I think I'm in love :D
