I picked up a cold at some point in Washington, so by Monday morning I was miserably congested- which meant, of course, that my nose was dripping all through the flight and that my left ear has not yet popped, giving me the thrilling chance to experience the world in mono. Add this to the general fuzzy-headedness of the cold and jet lag, and the world becomes awfully surreal. Hopefully all this will clear up sooner or later and I can ease back into life here.
(I admit that there was a temptation to not get on the plane. Not that I consider myself a hero for getting on it anyway.)
