yearly gift-begging

Dec 25, 2006 16:45

Let's be honest; this is the first time since leaving Japan that I've been, really, fairly, pretty well-off. There's nothing I really need for Christmas or my birthday this year. (Definitely nothing that I need like I needed that hot/cold air-conditioning unit my 'rents gave me in my first winter in Japan. Oh, lovely 'rents, I am loving you so.) So I've assembled the following list merely as a guide to people who insist on giving me things; if you can't, then don't. I won't hold it against you.

Cheap gifts:
Tights. Socks. Underwears.
Weird food substances, especially for Indian or Mediterranean cuisines.
Hooks, patterns or single balls of yarn or thread for crochet purposes.
Books. CD's. See Amazon list below for details.

Mid-range gifts:
Veronica Mars BSG? DVDs

"Heyyyy, big spender" gifts:
Sewing machine.
Drafting table.
Art class at the Pratt Fine Arts Center.

The Amazon list of doom is here. Feel free to post your lists, or links to lists, below. WOOHOO HOLIDAY SEASON!!! WOOOOOOHHHH!!!! Oh man. Phew. Hoy.
