Комната саппорта с утра похожа на священную пещеру: тихо, одинокий луч солнца пробивается сквозь жалюзи, мирно шуршат процессоры. Я включаю свет, кондиционер и заставляю один из компьютеров шуметь чуть громче - рабочий день начался.
Техподдержка - это такое бардо между жизнью мирской и сферой IT. Если очень хочется начать работать в IT, пройдя по этому мостику, можно прижиться. Как один из вариантов.
Обрабатывать бесконечную очередь запросов пользователей в одной половине дня, а в другой - учить всякую всячину. Получается полное погружение в поток около-IT информации, голова перестраивается, дело идёт быстрее.
Первое время везде трудно - потом легче. Зачем, спросите вы? За развитием и интересом. Ну-ка сходу назовите отрасль, в которой можно работать в любой точке мира, при этом прекрасно понимать коллег и оставаться в курсе событий, постоянно обновляя свои знания? То, что сейчас пронизывает наши жизни? А? Да :)

The room of support in the morning looks like some sacred cave: it's silent, lonely ray of sunlight makes its way through jalousie, processors rustle peacefully. I turn on the light, a/c and make one the of computers be little bit louder - working day has started.
Technical support is kind of bardo between the lay life and IT realm. If you really wish to work in IT, you can get acclimatized by passing this tiny bridge. It's one of the choices.
To process endless line of users' inquiries in one half of the day, and learn different stuff in the other one. It comes out to be full submergence into about-IT information flow, the head re-forms itself, things start to move faster.
First time it's difficult everywhere - it gets easier later. What for, you'd ask? For development and interest. Well, name me without any deep thinking an area in which you can be occupied working in any location of the world, at the same time understanding your colleagues perfectly and being in the know of latest events, continuously updating your knowledge? Something that permeates through our lives? Ah? Yes :)
