home sweet home!
last night i hung out with the boy until my sister nina came to get me. we were expecting her to come around 11/12, but she didn't get me until 1:15am. her and joe had gone to see blue man group in the city and had parked at the path station. i had about eight tons of laundry and guitar for my dad to restring so they said they would pick me up and bring me home in the morning. because we got in so late, we slept pretty late, and then due to traffic we didn't make it to brick until about one or two today. we forwent the beach. instead i layed out with my dog outside for a bit (she makes napping impossible because keeps coming over to lick my face!) and hit the really cheap grocery store/big lots. i bought a ton of lunch food, but in the end its gonna save me a ton of money. now my mom and sister are making pork chops on the grill and zuchini and squash and i couldn't be happier.
my dad is off tonight , no gigs, so we are all going out to a coffee house that just opened up in brick and then to sundaes for ICE CREAM!!!
really good to have some family time, finally. i picked the perfect weekend.
my mom also seems to be very happy to see me, which is great, we finally back in friendly mode.
good news! i finally stepped on a scale (i haven't had access to one) and found that i am four pounds away from my target weight. i've lost another seven pounds since i last checked (and posted in lj about it). i've been super super bad with the running and drinking a lot, though, so it surprised me that i was still on target. so now just a little more perserverence, and i wlil have attained my goal. not bad, considering its hardly been an inconvenience... just a matter of thinking about what i eat ahead of time. YAY.
