Oh, and on the topic of behavior, human this time rather than equine, here is a link to an article I ran across rather randomly and found interesting. The author tidily codifies rather vague notions I've had in the back of my mind for quite a while now based on my own observations, but was never able to piece together articulately. Bravo, Amanda.
