[Giro-Kat RL: Time skimmer]

It was a rather normal day in the forest just outside of Innerpeace, despite the few remaining groups of Mechaniloids that moved through it. In fact high up in one synth-tree, reclined in the crook of a large branch was a small glowing entity with prong-like wings. This was Giro, taking a small nap well out of reach from anything that could ( Read more... )

Hiding in the shadows made by the leaves higher up Giro's branch was a pair of intense predatorial eyes. They stared at the glowing cyber elf, before moving out of the dark, revealing a large (at least compared to Giro), sharply spiked bird with red wings. Very slowly, the bird begain to hop its way stealthily towards Giro.

The branch trembled lightly as the Spearow hopped along it, seemingly making the sparkles around his wings shake slightly in the air. It took him a few seconds to stir out of sleep, but soon he was sitting up and looking ahead of him rather blearily. Seeing the large, spiky bird coming his way woke him up immediately and he let out a sharp squeak, backing up on the branch as quickly as possible. Then, with a little burst of light he took off, diving off the branch and disappearing into the foliage around him, sending a couple leaves drifting towards the ground.

The bird froze when Giro woke, blinking when it squeaked and took off like a shot. Luckily, it left a visible trail of light and sparkles through the trees as it fled. With a flap of wings and feathers, she took off, following the rapidly fading trail in the hopes of finding the little cyber elf.

The trail of light zigzagged through the forest canopy, going above, over, and around various branches. Eventually it led to a rather large tree with a few pieces of machinery exposed in the bark; specifically it led to a hole in the tree, where a small group of sparkles were fading into thin air.
