Rode down to Atlanta with Steve and Heather Thursday morning. Alex had to work and couldn't go after all. The trip was fun: I won the 10 sack race, sang along to some of our favorite Rock Band tunes, and listened to the Wizard People.
Took only a handful of pictures at the con. There weren't many costumes I wanted pictures of this year. Though, I apparently missed out on all of the superheroes gathered at the Hyatt. Oh well, maybe next year. Pics an be found on my facebook page.
Most of my fun was had just hanging out in Atlanta with Victor. Yeah, we ended up going to the Rainbow Flag party at the con. I got drunk and started flirting with a couple of guys. One of which was a guy that dressed up as a Green Lantern each year I have gone. He is pretty. Nothing happened with either guy, so meh.
Victor also led me and Justin out to one of the gay bars called Blake's. We had to take the Marta to get there, and it was my first time riding on a subway. On the way, it was hot guy after hot guy... And then we got there. The place was packed! We had to wait outside for about 10 minutes before they let us in. We weren't even carded.
Once inside, it was like I was in heaven. Gorgeous chocolate men EVERYWHERE! I couldn't go anywhere without grinding between them. I didn't mind. I decided to go downstairs out of curiosity once Justin had a place to sit. It was just the front entrance to the bar lol. I was still surrounded by hot men, so I wasn't mad about it.
My eyes met this dude's eyes and we started talking. His name was Mike, and he was kinda cute. We flirted back and forth and he tried to get me to go home with him. It was very tempting. But alas, Justin convinced me otherwise and I left Mike with a drunken kiss.
The next day was spent picking over the dead corpses of the Dealer Halls, to no avail. I bought nary a thing: a book, a pin for Michael, a few buttons, some magnets... most of my fun money was spent on booze. And I still have funds left over.
We went to the Georgia Aquarium. That was neat. The children there were making me crazy though. Too much inconsiderate pushing, running and screaming for my tastes. Afterward, we went to the hotel room where Heather and I proceeded to nap at least twice before deciding we needed food. We tried the food court, but everything was closed... even the pub. So we decided to try Meehan's, an Irish pub. The food and atmosphere were amazing. I had a couple of cider drinks and called it good.
Spent the ride home sleeping most of the way. I just couldn't stay awake at all. I'm happy to be home, but I miss Atlanta dearly. Okay, I miss the chocolate. I'm hoping to do it all again next year. It was a blast.
