I havent updated in a while so here goes.
Cross country = over. I wish I had done cross country as a freshman. The cross country season a highlight of the school year. I ran 24:20 for my last meet. It was awesome, just hot dogging, stopping and walking, etc. Definitely worth it.
About two days ago, I was trying to formulate the best plan for my future, trying to maximize free time, fun and money. I came up with this. I want to major in something like computer science, so I can have that sort of knowledge handy, since computers and progams are the future of information and networking technology. I'd then get a teaching license and complete the required courses to teach regular social studies at some high school. I would try to be like Stevens, by just cracking jokes, assigning worthless projects, and showing videos with minor relevancy to the topic. I would have extra credit for my class be people bringing food and treats once a month, meaning I'd get free food EVERY DAY. I'd also get to talk to students and just bullshit with them all day. I'd have ample time during the period for homwork or something, which I would use to day trade stocks and/ or run an online business. I'd save up a bunch of money to pay off whatever financial burdens I may have taken on during college. Eventually I'd start focusing more and more on my business, or go for my MBA, using my teaching job as an income base for whatever I want or need to do.
I wouldn't be teaching for any of the right reasons, but that's just one of the things I though would be cool to. I'd have short work days and summers off.
Rock the library is coming up soon. I don't know if we'll be ready but hopefully we should be able to work something out by then.
A quote from Mr. Daddow: "During the course of this class, I will try to insult every religion known to man...this is a good thing."
