adventures in book making

I've been oohing and aahing over handmade books for years, and so I finally googled the hell out of the process, and made my own!

Definitely learned what not to do, but for a first attempt, I am very very happy with it. I did rush the spine, and forgot to transfer the title onto the paper before I glued it all together... so now I just need to figure out how to do that. ^_^* (by hand, probably. eep.) Interestingly enough, the toughest part turned out to be folding the paper! Sometimes it just didn't want to align properly.

The first and last signatures got a little warped. Lesson learned: put some paper under the endsheet when gluing the covers.

And what is the story that prompted me to make it into a 470-page book? Te's amazing DCAU Catch Me Low. Mmm-mmm-mmm. <3
