Zombie Day

Apr 26, 2008 21:17

Okay, so, the day went like this.

I got up at the ungodly hour of 6:30AM to get ready and be at work by 8AM (see previous entry) after having fallen asleep at 4AM.

By the way, I went to bed at 12AM, and it took me 4 hours to get to sleep (-_-)

The meeting went on for 2 and 1/2 hours. And, to be absolutely honest, it was ABSOLUTELY UNNECESSARY for me to be there, because the majority of the meeting was for the older employees to take the same tests that all the new employees had to take during orientation. The rest of the meeting was basically "work on your customer service!!". For serious, I would have rather been told to stay home than to get paid to go, because I needed the sleep.

Meeting ended at 10:30AM, and I went to wait for my ride in Boarders. I bought Loveless 6 on an impulse buy, but I don't regret it because it's only $10 dollars and (as you can tell from my journal) I love Loveless. ♥

It too TWO HOURS to get home, though, because first mom was late picking me up, and then she spent 30 minutes arguing with the pharmacist at Walgreens about her perscription. So the five hours to nap I had been counting on was cut down to three, or, really, 1 1/2 because it took me an hour to get to sleep and then I had to get ready for work.

So I went to work in the afternoon on a total of four hours sleep spread over two naps.

I'm really really really really really surprised I did as well as I did. My register came out even (I was sure it would be off because I kept miscounting and having to recount) and no one had any major complaints, either employees or customers. I really wanted to work the full shift, but when Jessica asked if anyone would be willing to go home at 8:30PM because they were overstaffed, I was already so tired and in SUPA-PAIN(!!) from my back and knees that I volunteered. So I only worked four hours officially, six and a half if you count the meeting this morning. All in all, not a bad day.

I also got MY PAYCHECK :D :D :D Apparently, it takes the company 6 to 8 weeks to process direct deposit requests, so they had made me a check. But no one TOLD ME that check aren't mailed out: you have to go and pick them up every other Friday. So I had a check sitting in the office since the 18th, but no one bothered to say "hey new kid! get your money!" and since I was assuming it would be deposited, I didn't think to ask until it was late.

Only $52 dollars this time around. The next check in on the 2nd, and I think it should be another $50 to $60. WOO! YAY FOR GETTING RID OF THAT .3 CENT BALANCE IN THE BANK! Now it's $52.03 XD I are rich!

On character stuff:

I don't think Kayo and Kuhn are related >.> Because the storyline that suddenly popped into my head for those two last night is definitely not a storyline you give siblings in a healthy fraternal relationship. Maybe in Angel Sanctuary, but...no.

Still, I'm not changing the character designs, because I think they're both really cute looking. Though I think I'm going to make them a bit older.

Back huuuurrrtttttttsss. Owwwwwww.....
