My computer is back and looks like new, and hey! the shift keys work. Look: "#!@#$%^&*()(*&^%$#@" I can swear like a cartoon character again, and use html without copy/pasting =<""> from a text doc! All my sentences can have capital letters at the beginning and exclamation points at the end! Or question marks? All I need now is a replacement battery and I'll be able to use my computer without a 250 foot extension cord.
I have been noticing things, like two robber flies on two different days landing on my hand as they devoured other flies. I simply must post a long boring to most people entry about stable flies, and my goodness the mushrooms! I almost posted some memes, but I think it would be lame of me to come back from my longest postless time since 2003 with a list of movies or something.
So without any further ado, here are the snapshots I've been hoarding: mundane, sometimes poorly composed, sometimes nice, usually sunny, and one of them is even taken with a real camera, and it's a picture of a cute dog.
Oh good lord the ugly! This homely behemoth is the lab freezer, keeping samples at a nice cool -80 f.
Boston's notorious
Blue Hill Ave, as seen through the
Ailanthus jungle in the zoo.
Alexis doing some Boston driving while we did some errands in between Dog School and Rock Band last Saturday.
The Jim loves that dirty water down at Cutler Park in Needham. Alexis' photos are
here.
When Monday rolls around, it's chore time again. The silo-bot commands it.
And I'll finish up with this completely incomprehensible snapshot of a white statue in the sun, taken from deep shade. The result is a blinding pillar of salt gleaming out of the murk.
