You may be aware that I have an interest in all forms of human/animal interactions, including those that go terribly wrong for the human (I created and moderate the
animal_attacks community). Since I've been posting links to my
Soylent Screen column, you're also probably aware that I enjoy movies that have animal attacks as a theme or motif.
That's why I was happy to get a google news alert telling me that another movie geek posted an
abecedarium of animals that attack in movies. It's not perfect, or even close to complete, but it did steel my resolve to view the Clint Howard movie Evilspeak, which I initially rejected when I saw it on another list. Why didn't anyone tell me that Clint uses his black magic to cause a herd of swine to devour a woman in the shower?
