Here's my dad, photographing the vista outside the National Tropical Botanical Garden.


Nearby the Garden is a "pull over and look" spot called "The Spouting Horn." The volcanic rock shoreline is full of tubes and cavities, and when the surf churns into them, water sprays out of holes at the top. We thought we found it--a little spray squirting out of a rock over here:



But then we noticed a bunch of other tourists looking at a different spot.







Oh, THAT spouting horn. It was pretty cool, lasting a few seconds, bubbling, foaming, gushing, then spraying, making a little rainbow.



Souvenir vendors and feral red jungle fowl (you know, chickens) have taken advantage of the natural curiosity.



A short drive away is this dilapidated sugar mill--I don't think it was functioning, but maybe they just had the day off. The land in front had penned in goats, and across the way was a paint-ball place.
