Hello, I have just friended you. I live in Baltimore, on the other side of the country, and while I'm not sure we can be called "coastal", thanks to our Inner Harbor, all major mall parking lots are decorated with gulls. *g*

I was going to make a comment that you should be able to see this species at home in the winter... but I was thinking of Glaucous Gulls (Larus hyperboreus)... dang similar names :)
