My dad came to visit yesterday and we decided to go to Revere Beach. We didn't have to look long for a parking spot, and there was a lot of room on the beach.
We walked most of the length of the beach, then went up to look at this brand new (well, 1 year old, which is brand new by Boston-area standards) footbridge.
Unlike most of the areas we explore, Revere has almost no visible Irish-American presence, so we had to forego our usual Irish pub lunch. Instead we stopped in to
Bill Ash's Lounge, which doesn't have a kitchen, but has a hole in each wall opening in to adjacent restaurants. One hole leads to Chinese food, one to a pizzeria. The hole next to the "Soprano's" pinball machine would be the one that leads to the pizzeria.
On the way back to the car, a pair of mounted State Troopers. Revere Beach is a
Mass. Department of Conservation and Recreation Reservation, after all.
