I can't completely avoid being in my office, but I sure try.



The African wild dogs were uncommonly active--pro tip: want to see carnivores active at the zoo? Try a cloudy day in the 40s.



It's a real blessing to have a plant that blooms this time of year. There is a lot of witch hazel planted around the zoo--not only does it produce off-season color, it's on the approved browse list.



Here's my attempt to shoot a witch hazel flower with my micro phone lens.
