The magic of the Riverway

Apr 23, 2010 20:23

Tonight we came upon a juvenile red-tailed hawk, feeding on something on the riverbank.

I was sad when I scared it away by taking pictures of it, but when I took a close look at the kill, I found that the hawk had eaten quite a bit of the duck already.

Then we came upon some art in a birch tree!

On the first floor window of our building, the Boston ivy is starting to foliate. This was going to be my picture of the day, before the hawk, and the art, and the ant.

public art, dead animals, muddy river, red-tailed hawk, the riverway, maggie, brookline, alexis, boston ivy, ducks, birch trees
