is it just me, or do The Veronicas sound just like Kelly Clarkson? Maybe Kelly Clarkson is just the two Veronicas smushed together, like a pantomime horse. I can't tell the difference between either pop sensation, and their latest singles sound the same - they just modulate in different directions in the chorus. I read someone describe them as punk - by whose definition?? Why are they called 'the Veronicas' anyway? Neither of them is called Veronica. Is it some kind of homage to the Ramones? Because The Donnas have already been there and massacred that.
i spent all day today inside, which is a recipe for disaster. my mother, who can read the myriad of crazy glints I get in my eyes just so well, gave me money to get me out of the house and buy chips for dinner, just so I didn't gouge out someone's spleen with a fork. probably my housemate's, because she's pissing me off even when I'm not on the edge of insanity.
Meanwhile, i keep hearing fragments of bagpipes, which is bad because I'm sure there aren't any pipers in suburbia at midnight. At least, not this part of suburbia. Maybe Scottish suburbia, but not Australian. Which means my grasp on reality is slipping. more than usual. but who didn't know that already?
everything constantly has that slightly overstretched tinge that you get when you're losing your marbles, or you've slept too little, or you're on the drunk edge of tipsy. which I'm not.
on the other hand, i have just rediscovered the joys of Go Natural carob and macadamia bars. so. fucking. good.
