An evening with Phillip Glass, oh, just an evening?

Quote of the week - Anna, talking to my dog: "You have a very small turning circle for such a large dog!"
I remembered it in the car this morning and laughed and laughed.

Today i was in a foul mood. Fortunately, our SOSE fieldwork excursion was to the Waste Water treatment plant, so we got to wander round and look at shit. Which really suited the way I felt. At the end we recreated the plant, I was the aeration tank. I put good bacteria in the water.

I visited my supervisor this morning. that sucked. but after i went past school to show my mentor teacher my lesson plan for tomorrow, to check it was ok, and all the kids from my grade came in and made me feel special. I gather they like me.

(kids walk in and see me, about 8 of them make a beeline for me and start yammering away)
EMILY: Hi! Hi! How are you?
SARAH: My sister went to Japan and she has a shirt just like yours!
JANE: I like your hair clips, they have apples on them!
JOSH: Don't you usually come on Thursdays?
STEPHEN: Do you visit other classes here?
ADAM: Are you coming back tomorrow?
BEK'S HEAD: *explode!*

It made me feel loved.

Yesterday I had a day off uni, so Kat and I planned my costume for my trivia night. It's cool, I'm so punk. perhaps if you're lucky I'll take photos. The theme is the Eighties, and since everyone else will be going Footloose style, we're going 80s punk. Yeah.
We also had a brief op shop trip, Kat was joking about me in a pair of girly looking boots, so i tried them on and THEY LOOKED PIRATEY, it was really weird. They were advertised as being $5 so I figured I'd get them for the hell of it, and they charged me $2. Bargain mate. I tried them on with my punk outfit and they made me look like a hooker. And when I wore a white shirt and tie with it I looked like a kinky schoolgirl stripper. So I don't know what boots I'm going to wear. I think I need something clumpy. Anyone got size 8 feet and boots they'd like to lend me?

Also, only two more sleeps till Royal Crown Revue/Mad Caddies WOO

I just read george's marvelous medicine in about half an hour. I remember it being much longer than that.

how much i love uni, teaching, great bands touring, op shopping, dress ups, thesis, quote of the week, punk
