yesterday was all about movies. saw wallace and gromit during the day, laughed a lot. that movie has no jokes for children. Came home. didn't watch napolean dynamite because i was having a panic attack for some reason. then we watched priscilla, queen of the desert. i swear Tourism Australia should construct their advertising around that. Then Chitty Chitty Bang Bang was on tv, man, what a crap movie. Talk about ridiculous national stereotypes - Bulgarians hate children and kidnap inventors and all have hitler moustaches! Watch out for them, people. Only made it 20 minutes into Fight Club before I needed bread. I love movie escapism.
Today I went to the zoo for SOSE research. It was fun and I'm doing it again tomorrow. Hooray for being a friend of the zoo! woo! free entry!
I heard from Katesh the other day, and for any DUSA types who haven't heard the news, she lost her baby. Last Thursday she was admitted to hospital with severe pre-eclampsia (which I have no idea what it is)and her baby died. By my calculations it was at about 7 months, so that's extra nasty. She doesn't sound like a happy camper at all, so if you see her, be extra nice. I wish I were at Deakin more so I could pat her on the arm or fool around like a distracting git or whatever she wants. Poor Katesh. So just letting you all know so you don't enquire exuberantly after the baby, like I did.
