Where did you begin 2008?
In the hills in Northern NSW with my uncle and family. Superfun. Good solid family.
What was your status by Valentines Day?
homosapien.
Were you in school anytime this year?
Had a good solid crack at Information Management, in the hopes that I could be a librarian. Noone could imagine it of me, and then I didn't hand in any assignments. Also did a sewing course at RMIT.
Did you have to go to the hospital?
For a weird combination of co-incidences, including blood, vomit, cat scratches and a sinus infection.
Did you have any encounters with the police?
Got breath tested a couple of times.
Where did you go on vacation?
Daylesford. Japan. Hobart. Pambula.
What did you purchase that was over $100?
Japan Rail passes. Hot British engineers' boots. Probably some other stuff.
Did you know anybody who got married?
My step-sister, and everyone thought I was from the Turkish side of the wedding. Bunch of people I went to school with.
Did you know anybody who passed away?
Noes.
Did you move anywhere?
Nu-uh.
What sporting events did you attend?
Roller derby. Brunswick womens' AFL. Lots of circus.
What concerts/shows did you go to?
Nine Inch Nails, Billy Bragg, Anti-Flag, Ikochi, Babylon Circus... surely there was more?
Describe your birthday:
Drunken. Surprisingly large, for a combined party of two unsociable hermits. I was dressed like Hunter S. Thompson. Surprisingly convincing but not at all flattering.
What is the one thing you thought you would not do, but did, in 2008?
Performed in front of a crowd.
What has been your favorite moment?
Eating okonomiyaki with Anna, Amelia and her family in Hiroshima. Ahh! Das ist heiss!
Any new additions to your family?
Furry little new housemate, my cousin Jett, and my step-sister Grace's foetus, who I like to call Gracebaby.
What was your best month?
May.
Make new friends?
Yeah, lotso them, through circus and craft.
Favorite night out?
Karaoke with Amelia and Anna. Drunken contact juggling with Ohana at drag kings. Circus fundraiser night, working the bar with Kel. Any time I was a drunken floozy but didn't get in a compromising position.
Other than home, where did you spend most of your time?
What do you mean, OTHER than home? Any non-home time was spent at Anna's, in Geelong or at circus.
Have you lost any friends this year?
I haven't seen many people, so I'm not sure. Got an ultimatum last week, from a person who is pending serious ditching.
Change your hairstyle?
A few times. Got a haircut from my housemate. Learnt a few good Fifties styles.
How old did/do you turn this year?
as in, 2008? 24.
Do you have a New Years resolution?
Not especially. I have plans for the future, though.
Do anything embarrassing?
Lordy, yes. My best effort was telling someone that her girlfriend wanted to sleep with me, because I didn't know they were together. Hell, I was dressed - and behaving - like Amy Winehouse. Drinking gin out of a wine bottle. Something trashy HAD to happen.
Buy anything new from eBay?
I facilitated Anna buying a BMX and a helmet. And I bought some postage stamps.
Get married or divorced?
Neither!
