Christmas Invasion
nope, no more cat pictures (although I have a couple more I can clean up...)
but I did get a chance to see the December 2005 Doctor Who episode "The Christmas Invasion", the first with David Tennant. pretty good. not "The Empty Child" good, or "Father's Day" good, or "Dalek" good, but still pretty good for a first episode with a new Doctor.
apparently the actual new season begins in spring. this was just a "christmas special", even though it's part of the continuity. I won't post spoilers, but I'll mention it begins immediately after the Doctor's regeneration.
