Banking Rant
I was going online to check my bank account when low and behold, my bank account went in the negatives yesterday. I was a little confused because while I made a cash deposit after 5pm (which is their cut off time for same day deposits), I didn't make any purchases until approximately 8pm that evening. When I called my banking rep to ask them what was going on, I found out something disturbing...
Apparently if you make debit purchases between 5pm and 11pm, it can still posted same day, even though your cash deposit which was also made after 5pm isn't going to post till the next day. So even though I deposited my paycheck, I'm still going to get hit with 2 overdraft fees (because I do have overdraft protection) because these 2 purchases are hitting the account yesterday when I technically didn't have the money to cover them.
Excuse my french, but what a crock of fucking shit! Okay...I feel better now.
