Just secured me a ticket to see Art Garfunkel at the SECC in Glasgow on 20th June. I am SO excited about this! Nobody wants to come (bloody bloody people), so looks like it'll be a lone gig, but I honestly couldn't care. I'm going to see Art!
Speaking of gigs at the SECC, I was there last night to see the mighty and magnificent Take That. Oh yes. What a complete nostalgia trip - it was literally like getting to do what I wasn't allowed to do when I was 10 years old. I went with Claire (who was so insanely excited - it was so sweet. She cried for the majority of it) and we had a jolly good time. Pure unadulterated pop goodness. It was so much better than I thought it would be. And that Jason Orange is a bit of alright.
I had an incredible night out with the home buddies on Saturday night. We went to Four Cats, then West Kirk and then finally onto Club de Mar which was such good fun. Stew, Hugh (yes, him) and I danced for hours and hours and hours and almost missed the taxi home. Claire and Cammy were around too...such a good time. I really needed a good night out, and I'm always *always* guaranteed that with these guys.
I have done absolutely no revision for the last week. I have three exams next week. Oh well.
So...things I have to look forward to:
Official Girvan Does Glasgow Night Out - sometime in May after les examens (oh, would you look at that, I do know some French). I missed the Christmas one, so can't wait til this one.
I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue - 11th June. Wooooop.
Claire's 21st birthday party - 17th June. Should be gallons of fun.
Art Garfunkel - 20th June. Double wooooop.
Bon Jovi - Sometime in June?
Fucking off to France - late September.
David Mitchell and Robert Webb - November 19th. If I decide that it's worth coming ALL the way back from France for...We shall see.
That should keep me going for a while.
I wonder if there are still tickets to see the Stones anywhere in the UK. I very much doubt it. Still, that would have been cool.
I'm dead bored up here. Everyone is being insanely studious.
