She was a mess inside. But she wasn't going to bring her division down with her. And especially her captain. Hitsugaya-taichou was going through enough as is: festering in guilt that he was not able to protect the girl that he cherished as friend and family. However, he would not let it eat him up, for the sake of his own sanity and his division. And she would do the same: Rangiku would not seep in betrayal and sorrow because Gin was a turncoat. She was much stronger than that.
And it's not like she was in love with him. Heavens, no. Gin fed her when she felt hunger, befriended her in their youth, but that was no reason for her to say she was in love with him, right?
Her fingertips flew to her temple.
Right. She wasn't.
