Watch out, world. There's another potentially crazed maniac driver joining the road.
(Scene -- A few blocks away from my house. I'm driving. I slow to stop at a stoplight.)
My dad: Signal left. Change lanes. Turn left at the stoplight. Don't hit the guy on the motorcycle.
My sister: Yeah, this isn't Grand Theft Auto.
Me: Aw man.
I'm pleased with the progress I've made these past couple of days. I'm not that freaked out to go on the freeway anymore. I've gotten better at keeping a steady speed (now I just need to slow down in residential, haha). And while I'm not completely comfortable behind the wheel yet, I've got a better idea of how much I need to turn the wheel, though sometimes I still oversteer a bit. Now what I need to work on is backing out, parking, and switching lanes with finesse.
But I think that since I've had at least five hours behind the wheel (and it shows), Mr. Clarke won't think I'm a complete n00b. Which is what matters.
