Why am I blogging about this? Because I’ve read that if you go public (so to speak) that you tend to be more accountable. Also, I can look back and track my progress

Thanks! Nowhere near where I was when I was in my best shape (here's an old pic) but I don't expect to get back there.
Considering where I was around April 1st when I started back at the gym (yikes!), I'm happy with the progress I've made since then. Honestly, if I could just fit into my old expensive suits again, I think I'd be happy - abs or no abs, and I have about an inch to go. :-)
By the way, those super yummy food photos you're always posting don't help! I look at them and then have to click off of LJ. ha!
Those super yummy food photos... you can't tell when I'm telling myself I should eat something... just not that. So I post telling myself that some day I'll make those and never do. It's like stashing a bottle of alcohol but first I have to shop and assemble the ingredients, then follow the directions. *laughs* Too much work and too many calories.
Yea! Only one inch. One inch from where?
You do know that good, and I'm assuming that expensive means made to be altered, suits can be taken in or out.
And here I thought you were the master chef of LJ cooking all those! ha!
An inch in the waist. I want to get back to my "normal" weight which was always in the 140 to 145 pre-weight gain. In suits, I wore a 40 coat and 30 waist pants. Suits normally come with a 6 inch drop, meaning a suit off the rack with a 40 coat translates to 34 inch pants (except for European suits with side vents in the coat which can come in 32 inch pants, but I don't like side vents) - so I'd get American cut (center vent) and if you have to alter pants more than 2 inches, they have to be re-cut and never fit right. So . . . . I'd normally have to custom order them in a 30 inch pant.
So yes, I can let them out, but If I let them out now and get back to my normal weight, then I'd have to take them in again. So we'll see. If I get back to my normal weight and and they are still tight, I'll let them out a bit. :-)
